Lowell - 29.jun.02
That is about as gentrified as Lowell gets. If there
is a Starbucks - it is well hidden. After working my little brain
to the a pulp - making the park's web site "accessible"
- I treated myself to a little R&R. Strolled over to the Dunkin
Donuts, bought a coffee and went at sat on a bench and watched people.
Lowell is franchise donut crazy. They are distressed because not
only does Lowell not have a Krispy Kreme - but there isn't one in
the whole state. Now that is serious.
After work, Carlton and I went out on the last boat
tour of the day. Earlier in the day Carlton had been to his "Mate
Training" session. And tomorrow - at long last - he starts
"work". One of the things he is supposed to do is "Shut
down the computer". We'll see what happens. I didn't try to
explain to him that to "Shutdown" on of Mr Gate's machines
that you click on the start button. Figure that nothing really bad
will happen if he just turns the machine off. If he can find the
off button. Any one care to bet that he'll end up unplugging it?
