Skagway Alaska - Summer 2001

Good thing about cataloging old images is that you get to enjoy old photos again.

This evening Carlton and I are "dumpster diving". We live in a 411 unit building. There are 411 mailboxes in the lobby. Today, we received a letter addressed to OCCUPANT. Inside is a genuine $2 bill. (I just happened to open our letter.) Most of the residents of the building deposit their junk mail directly in the trash can in the mail room. Hence "dumpster diving". Aren't we classy old people?

Coronation fever is mounting in the area. Lots of ads in the Post - folks want to buy tickets to the events. And, tickets are showing up on eBay. Capitalism at its finest.

The barricades are coming up. Protestors are being kept far far away from the paying customers. Democracy at its finest.
