Aachen Cathedral

Still working on my trip pictures - down to 1230 today.

I am still impressed by the Aachen Cathedral. Doris took me there. Bought my train ticket and found it once we made our way to Aachen. Mostly I am impress that it was completed - finished - built in 805. That would be twelve hundred years ago. Charlemagne (plus another 30 or so "Holy Roman Emperors") is buried there. And, it is right there. Just waiting for you to come an and look around.

As for the bat on the back of the eagle - I haven't a clue. I do recall that I used my head as a tripod for the shot.
