I went on a snorkel trek again today. Today, Carlton came too. It was wintry weather today - cloudy, a little choppy, a little windy. The snorkeling was not outstanding. But, better than in Arlington I do believe.
The main street in Kailua-Kona is Ali`i Drive. We stay at the north most end of Ali'i and we went five miles down Ali'i this morning to go snorkeling at Kahalu`u Beach, an over loved snorkeling spot. Along the way we pass tattoo parlors, Carlton's Palace, coffee bars, regular bars, expensive condos, cheap apartment, homeless people, really expensive beachfront homes. AND... those really cool cows pictured above. I am sure that some guy put the cows on this lot so he can say "IS TOO AGRICULTURAL LAND" to the tax guy. But, they are really fun to look at. And what kind of cows are they? Some sort of longhorns I guess.
The Menu: Lunch - Didn't have time to get to the store before going snorkeling - so we had tuna, pineapple and bananas and I nuked up some carrots and a potato. For Dinner - still haven't been to the store - Turkey and Cheese Sandwiches, with a banana and an apple. Then the fridge is empty. If Carlton is still hungry - I'll make him a bowl of oatmeal for dessert.
