air travel ca 2006

The golden age of commercial aviation has definitely ended. I packed us up a mess of turkey, cheese and mustard sandwiches to get us home. Coming out of Hawaii one can not even pack a banana, orange or apple for the journey. Reminds me of smallkidtime when we traveled all over the country in our unairconditioned sedan fueled by Velveeta Cheese and Deviled Ham on Wonderbread (wonder if its bread) sandwiches.

Planning a minitrip to Atlanta. I want to go to the new aquarium. The Georgia Aquarium. It is right downtown. So, I am looking for one of those last-minute weekend airfares. I could leave early in the morning and come back the same evening. But, I am thinking a night in a nice hotel with fluffy towels might be good. Carlton says he doesn't want to go.

Also trying to plan a trip to the HF Bar Ranch in Wyoming. Carlton doesn't want to go there either.

Maybe I should say "Carlton, where would you like to go?"

It is time to go to all those places I have been meaning to see. I am not getting any younger.

Speaking of which. Tomorrow I can apply for Social Security.
