cheeta and friends

Just thought that you might want to know that Cheeta - yes the Chimp of Tarzan fame - is 74 years old this week. He is apparently alive and well and living at a primate retirement home in California. Check it out.

I bought another MP3 player today. It is a cheap little thing. Why? NetLibrary. That is why. Our library have lots of downloadable books for our listening pleasure. You download them and they play for 21 days. Then POOF. But, the files will not play on the iPod. Only on Microsoft approved players. I cheerfully rip audio CD's that I check out from the library to my iPod. But, it takes a long time and about 25% of the time, I discover that one of the CD's is too scratched to rip correctly. Which is a bummer - if it is disc 12 of 13!

If you have a Microsoft Playsforsure MP3 device - see if your library has a NetLibrary account. It is a really easy way to listen to books - and the price is right. If you don't have to invest in a Bill Gates approved device.
