Bordeaux, France

big ass statue in Bordeaux that was melted down for scrap during WWII.

Oh, much worry about nothing, no trouble getting a hotel. The train station is in Le Sex Shop part of town. But, it seems very tame. After settling into my room, I headed back to the train station for a late dinner.

Bordeaux looked like a fine town and the trolley system seemed pretty easy to negotiate - so, I decided to stay another day. Hopped the trolley and went exploring. Found a nifty blue lion.

and about this lady and the duck? What has she been doing with the duck? Or is this a Leda and the Swan thing?

Liking Bordeaux more and more. A few people speak english. So, I was able to get reservations to Amsterdam tomorrow with no trouble.

Last night at dinner, I noticed that the other (French) dinners got a little slice of cake with their espresso. I didn't get any cake. I am going to go back tonight and if the same waiter is there - I am going to see if being a repeat dinner will get me a slice of cake with my espresso.

All packed up ready to go to Amsterdam tomorrow. I might get off the train at the airport and get a room there another 7:30 arrival. Tomorrow's stress making adventure will be the train change in Paris. Changing the train means changing the station - which means getting a ticket and taking the Paris Metro. I have an hour to make this happen. Worry about Paris when you get there, old lady!

more combes - this one is a street already
