Still playing with Ubuntu. I wanted to
down load some drivers and do some serious tweaking to try to get my
touch screen working. BUT, I stopped myself. If it works this good.
Don't mess around under the hood. If this Ubuntu thing craps out - I'll
have to go buy a pink Aspire at Wal Mart.
More technology. Right before my portfolio went south - I bought an iPod Touch. I love that thing. Carlton says I love it more than I love him. Might be true. In this new frugal era - it would be hard to buy an iPod that costs more than the pink Aspire.
Cloud Stuff
GMAIL - over a year ago, I started dumping all my email into my Gmail account. This really helped during this Ubuntu transition.
FOXMARKS - it was a joy to login into Foxmarks and have all my bookmarks installed in Firefox. That made the new OS seem cosy and homelike. Sort of like traveling with your own pillow. I used Roboform for password. So, I wasn't using Foxmarks to save passwords. It was a security issue for me.
FIREFTP - it just works.
