Back in Arlington. Been back long enough to get mad at the HP Pig/Whore/Spitzer/Edwards HP Computer. Yesterday, I backed all the Vista data files up. AND today, when for the 100th time the machine wouldn't start - in a fit of anger - I installed Ubuntu. Wiped Vista off the machine. Now, I have no windows machines. Which means, doing my taxes just got a lot more exciting. Which means I gots no iTunes. PLEASE, Computer Gods, let my iTunes backup be valid.
But, the scanner worked. As did the printer.
What the hell, it beats doing crossword puzzles to ward off dementia.
Next, I have to figure out how to get my fonts and Ubuntu and WINE to play nice together.
